Hogeun Park

Hogeun Park is a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Global Policy and Strategy, UC San Diego as a part of the Big Pixel Initiative. He received his Ph.D. in Planning, Design, and Construction from Michigan State University. His research focuses on the intersection of urban planning and geospatial science, especially: (1) urbanization in transitional economies, and (2) environmental challenges in the Global South. Currently, he is working on synthesizing socio-economic data and satellite imagery to understand urban resilience and regional disparity. He has conducted research across India, Mongolia, China, Vietnam and the Philippines.
